Supporting Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity

At Vanilla Square we are proud to not only help people find a home, we are also proud to give something back to the local community in supporting local charities and getting involved in charitable events. One of the charities we support is Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

Every year over 168,000 babies, children and young people are treated at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity aims to provide the best care and experience possible for any children who are being treated there, and raises money to ensure that all young patients and their families receive the best possible care.

The charity funds enhanced medical equipment to help the medical staff treat children with the best machinery available today, along with innovative play programmes to help to distract, teach and treat children during their stay at hospital. In addition, the charity helps to fund groundbreaking paediatric research to help future generations of Scotland’s children.

The hospital moved to the new Royal Hospital for Children, located within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus, from Yorkhill in 2015. This phenomenal charity has already contributed more than £12m to the new Royal Hospital for Children in Glsagow helping to provide world-class care for Scotland’s sick children and to support their families.

At Vanilla Square, we support the charity in a number of ways, from direct fundraising and donations to raising awareness of their work. We recently helped to organise a charity ex-pupils rugby match at St. Columba school in Kilmalcolm where our brand ambassador, Scottish Rugby star Finn Russell made an appearance. The event helped to raise several hundred pounds for charities including Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

This year we have chosen to support several outstanding charities including Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), Beatson Cancer Charity and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. You can find out more about our chosen charities for 2018 and the other community groups that we support here.
