Quick and easy decorations
The best way to go about it is to use what you already have in the house, instead of rushing for a last minute expensive and time-consuming shop. You can create an all black bunting decorations by cutting triangles out of black paper and sticking them to a black ribbon.
Or create spooky faces out of ballons left over from the last birthday party. All you need is a black marker, some confetti and balloons. Geared with the instruments, take the evening before Halloween, marking the balloons and filling them with confetti. With horrible faces on and confetti inside them, you can now hang the balloons in different covert locations.
Make Spiral Ghosts. Add to the horror of Halloween with spiral ghosts that hang from the ceiling and come down in a lifelike way. All you need are card papers, a scissor and a marker. Hanging from the ceilings, the spiral ghosts are just what you need to make your Halloween Boo-tastic.
Make Your Own Quick and Easy Halloween Treats
Want to treat guisers with homemade treats rather than the same run of the mill sugary treats everyone hands out? Rope in your family to decorate and help with a few easy ideas you can organise with what’s in the cupboard.
You can quickly bake a batch of spider cookies. Just Start with cookie mixture to make it quick and easy and bake. Once they have cooled down, get everyone help to decorate by drawing spiders on the cookies with melted chocolate! (For even faster results, there is a cheat! Just buy plain cookies and decorate)
Spooky tangerine pumpkins. That is a very quick and easy idea – not to mention healthy! Just apply scary Jack o lantern faces with a permanent marker to your tangerine stock! Done.
Marshmallow ghosts are cheap and easy to make. Stick marshmallows on sticks, drip white chocolate on top, draw eyes with melted chocolate.
Quick Halloween Costume DIY
Children are known for having last-minute changes of heart about their carefully planned Halloween outfit. If you are in such a situation or discovered too late that last year’s costume has become too small, here are a few ideas to get you going. Raid the drawers for an all-black outfit. That can transform quickly into a scary skeleton outfit, or a cute cat one, depending on accessories.
If all black doesn’t cut it, create a last minute mask out of card and a lolly stick. Just take the crafts box out and embellish, paint and decorate your mask in the spookiest of fashions.
If all else fails, there is always the old sheet trick. Cut two holes and you’ve just created the scariest ghost outfit possible.
